The words we use are important, one twist of a spelling, changes a meaning, a thought, what we are trying to convey.
Welcome to the Word of the day:
Replenish – Verb, to fill. Noun, replenisher. Origins: late Middle English (in the sense ‘supply abundantly’): from Old French repleniss-, lengthened stem of replenir, from re- ‘again’ (also expressing intensive force) + plenir ‘fill’ (from Latin plenus ‘full’).
I would like to replenish my bank account without getting out of bed… this is my goal in life, I’ve tried not getting out of bed, and strangely that made no obvious advances to my bank balance…
I’ve tried buying lottery tickets and other ‘have a go’ contests, but alas Lady Luck hasn’t faired kindly to my account as yet. So it seems if I want to replenish my account, I must alas get out of bed and do something proactively.
We’re told from a young age to work hard and reap the benefits later in life… we are encouraged to believe the societal model of leaving education, embarking on more education, seeking an entry level job and ‘head down, eyes front’, retirement isn’t far away, is how to replenish our bank balance and in turn enjoy the fruits of our labour…
I’ve never really followed that model, but always hankered after it. Thought and believed that I wasn’t achieving as others were as I didn’t have a plan, a clue, a specific career.. and yet here I am. A home owner. A business owner. I have food on every shelf in the fridge, I laugh often, I have appropriate clothing on my back and great people to share the moments of life with.
Arrh maybe that’s the key… My path is my path, I own it. I have the confidence to walk the path ahead because it’s mine. It doesn’t matter if I follow the model set by others, or I follow the path
set by me… the one I don’t know where it ends up, how it enriches my bank balance or how it replenishes my energy… it’s my path!
Thought of the day:
I would like to replenish my energy and existence by getting out of bed and walking my own path and resetting my mindset! Don’t follow me… follow you! Replenish your mind!
